AW: vrf DISPLAY question

Question asked by VRFuser on Oct 31, 2007
James,

I assume you are using HP 8753E or similar model.

OUTPFORM gives you pairs of values, in different units depending on the analyzer display format.  If you are in logmag format then the second value of the pair will always be zero.  Same for phase format.  If you want real and imag pairs then you have to be in polar or smith chart display format.

Secondly, why not try FORM2 which is 32 bit real number, and in VEE use:
READ BINARY x REAL32 ARRAY:number_points, 2
Will be faster than FORM4.

Regards,
Warren

Subject: [vrf] S2P data output

Hi all,

When i use FORM4 and OUTPFORM trying to export the S2P format data, why the imaginary part of the complex data is always 0 which is not the case when save to a internal disk in the network analyzer?

Any idea on how to get exactly the same S2P data as saved in internal disk?

Thanks!

Rgs,

James
