vrf 256 colour graphing

Question asked by VRFuser on Nov 23, 2007

Kevin,

I could be wrong since I am still waiting for my VEE 8.5 upgrade (from
7.5) but I think you will have to switch to VEE 8 (or greater). The plots in VEE 7.5 and older are limited to 12 pen colors. After you upgrade, you should be able to use the Scales control input to assign each point/trace a pen color. VEE 8 can handle the 256 colors.

Subject: [vrf] 256 colour graphing

G'day vrf'ers,
I've got an application where I'm graphing on a complex plane and each point is just that - a point with no line.  I'd like to be able to assign each point to be 1 of up to 256 colours, but alas I haven't been able to find any such thing within VEE itself.  I've honestly got no idea how to use matlab or .net and so any help out there would be fantastical.
I'm using VEE 7.5.
Cheers,
Kevin Nievaart
