vrf macro from Vee to Excel?

Question asked by VRFuser on Feb 28, 2008
Jon,

I realise you’ve already found the examples, but I would have created the Macro in an Excel Workbook and then saved it as a Template (.xlt).  The advantage of this is that the Macro resides in the Template, and when you open the Template, it doesn’t allow the original to be overwritten.  Therefore it should reduce the overheads, by simply opening the Template from VEE.

Cheers,

Gary

Subject: [vrf] macro from Vee to Excel?

Hello,

I was wodering if it is possible to 'push' a macro from Vee to excel?  I need to do this because the excel file I am writing to gets deleted every time, so when it is opened as a new file it is not associated with any macro.  I've checked the VRF archive.  I saw some cool stuff but not what I need.   I can do what I want a different way, but it would be nice to write the macro in Vee, load it into whatever workbook, then run it.

If any body has done this, I would sure appreciate a hint.

Thank you, very much,

Jon
