I'm a beginner in ADS. I would like to know What's the role of DC-block in general..?

Hello the idea of the DC Block component is very similar to how a capacitor works in a AC circuit. A capacitor will block DC voltage but allow a AC waveform to pass. Think of it as an "ideal" general purpose capacitor/inductor model.
I believe each of the models in ADS contain good help information on what they do. You could put a component on the schematic then double click on it and hit the help button on the dialog box to find out information about the component.
Depending on your application an "Ideal" model may not give you real world results when you implement your circuit but they are handy for doing a what if
circuit test. Using a capacitor that contains real world modeled data would be better option than using the DC block component in particular at high frequency RF.
