6672A-J04, 24V, 85A as Laser Diode power supply

Hi everyone,

we need to buy a power supply for our laser diode. The power supply 6672A-J04, 24V, 85A gives the required voltage and current. However compare to standard LD power supplies is strangely cheep.
Could someone recommend this device as a LD source? Or tell the difference between this one and standard LD current sources (which cost about 6000AUD)?
We are mostly afraid of fast spikes in voltage or current which can damage the diode.

Thank you very much for any suggestions, Ondra.
