Hello,
I recently got my hands on a floppy disk that's labeled "Extended triggering for infiniium oscilloscopes" Part # 54810-17632
I can't seem to find any information on this at all. It is a boot floppy that supposedly installs the option, I booted it on a 54825A and allowed it to install which it did successfully. But I cannot find any changes in the triggering menu, and the help, about tab does not show the option is installed. Does anyone have any information on this option?
Thanks!

My 54832B (software version 5.71--the latest version) does not have runt triggering as an option under the triggering menu, although it did have a lot of other advanced triggering options, such as setup and hold violations, pattern, glitch, etc. When I searched the scope's help section, it said that runt triggering could be enabled by software option N5414A or N5415A. In spite of that, I can find no information about either of these options ever having been available for the 54800-series scopes. The only references for them are for the 8000/80000 and 9000/90000 scopes.
Where did you find that software disk? If there are any more available, I'd like to give it a try on my scope!
Regards,
Stan
There's no way, that I'm aware of, to enable runt triggering on a 54832 scope. It's just not in the HW.

sometimes a carefully chosen pulse width trigegr can act as a runt trigger, but this doesn't work in all cases.

I found the reference to option 015 here:

It would not work on your scope for the reasons that the moderators have stated, and the fact that this is a boot disk that modifies the registry on a Windows 98 OS. The disk came with a 54825A I purchased.
