I am curious what the practical differences are between the 33522A and the 33522B. It appears that the B model has an IQ playback option, but I'm not sure what that does that can't already be done on the A model. Also I see mention of "Trueform Technology" in the B model. Does that make it significantly better at waveform generation than the A model? Are there any other improvements incorporated into the B model?
Thanks, Stan

Grabbed this from a colleague:
What is the Difference Between the 33500A and 33500B?
1. Both the 33500A Series and the 33500B Series use the same waveform generation technology, now branded as Trueform. The signal generation technology was branded to be more clear with customers that it is next generation technology, superior to existing DDS technology, and that it is exclusive to Agilent.
2. We also responded to customer feedback for more flexibility in configuring a waveform generator for their particular needs and priced accordingly. Customers can select bandwidth, number of channels and true point-by-point arbitrary waveforms. The prices range from $1,650 to $3,250 on the B series. And they can protect their investment by easily upgrading if their needs change.
3. Also, we have added a new web-help capability to the family of instruments, which customers can access via a smart phone or tablet computer. With this capability they can download user documentation a page at a time, dramatically reducing data download amounts and times over a wireless connection.
4. The firmware changed to allow customers more choices, which now allows us to add customer-specific applications like the IQ signal player. And more in the future.
