Agilent has an example program for running alignments and polling to see when they are complete at:
www.agilent.com/find/sa_programming
Unluckily, there is no alignment example for X-Series Signal Analzyers. I think the X-series can be compatible with remote control codes of PSA-series, so I try the alignment example of PSA-series for X-Series. But it give the error: the polling query "*ESR?" timeout. It seems that the execution of "CAL:ALL" blocks all following remote control codes.
Anyone has good solution for the alignment example for X-Series Signal Analzyers?

You will want to perform the CAL:ALL and then serial poll the STB? and look for 32, once you have this you can query the ESR? register.
