How selecting NPLC=1 significantly reduces noise in Digital MM Measurements

Question asked by jdwindrvr Employee on Oct 24, 2012
Watch a short demonstration showing how setting NPLC to 1 or greater (must be an integer multiple) can significantly reduce the power line noise. The Agilent 34410A will integrate the DC input over one or more power line cycles rejecting much of the noise coupled with the signal. A 34410A Digital Multimeter is used to measure a simulated DC voltage with a 60Hz power noise signal. A 33220A is used to simulate this signal.
