34972A data retrieval

I've got an 34972A datalogger that I am using with benchlink 3. When it is running ok all is fine (i.e. it is set-up correctly & works). But occasionally I get a connection problem which stops the test. The tests I run typically last at least 1000 hours, so an occasional glitch is not unexpected. The 34972A continues to log data after the error, and will warn me that it has data that will be over written if I re-start the test. Usually it is not a problem as I check every day and just loose 12 hours or so, but I have come back from vacation to find it failed a week ago.

So what I want to know is how I get the logged data out of the 34972A after the connection problem. Either directly into benchlink or a CSV or similar.
