You will need the hardware driver to make the U2761A work. Unfortunately, the driver isn't supported with non-Windows operating systems and will likely not work with HTBASIC.
You probably won't get far trying to use a USBS driver for this unit. You need to use USBTMC.
I haven't tried this but more than likely, you will probably need to install the Agilent Measurement Manager software to get the USB driver for Windows to start. Then you would probably want to contact TransEra for an example program that utilizes USBTMC. I believe that you will need to have at least HTBasic 9.4 to get USBTMC support (according to the TransEra website).
I figured it out... Although Transera says to use the SICL interface ID from the Agilent Connection expert, you must use the VISA interface ID, even though you are using a USB SICL driver. Go figure. I told Transera about this error.
