Dear All ,
One of my customer want to create a arbitraty waveform ,and the frequency range from 1Hz to 100kHz ,and the amplitude is as low as 1uV? How to do it?
I have tried to attenuate the output signal of 33220A with an attenuator ,but the result I got is Noise ,so I do not konw how to do it? Is there somebody can give me some suggestion? such as new device or new method? Thanks a lot

Even with a 3458A you are going to have issues. I have a sample program under a different forum post showing how to digitize using C++ but the measurement error is going to be roughly +/- 5 micro volts so that's not gonne be much help.
You could use the AC Synchronous mode to measure this since it is a repetitive signal but even then your error is going to be roughly +/- 1 mirco-volt, and that's using a repetitive sine wave for your output. You cannot use the AC SYNC mode if the signal is not repetitive and since you have a constantly changing frequency I think you may run into problems. To get into this mode use the SETACV SYNC command, the results are in AC VRMS.
