Hello,
I am using Agilent 89600S VSA in two-channel 89610A configuration. I want to capture (and record) I and Q channels simultaneously with an externally applied 10 MHz ADC sample clock.
Now, what I understood is that the VSA software does not allow the ADC sample clock to be applied externally. The 'Agilent E1438 Soft Front Panel' allows the external sample clock option but it communicates with only one ADC. Even, if two 'Agilent E1438 Soft Front Panel' softwares are used for both ADCs, then sync measurements cannot be done.
Please suggest, what to do.
Thanks and Regards,
Adnan

It is correct that the VSA software does not allow you to use an external sample clock with this hardware system. The software will resample the data based on the frequency span you have selected within the software as shown on this help text page. http://wireless.agilent.com/wireless/he ... ctions.htm
This will allow you to obtain data at any sample rate you desire.
