vrf Convert of a NULL character

Dear developers

I had to connect a RS485 interface to some pumps (StepDos) To controll the pumps I had to send a string (about 15
characters) to the interface including sometimes a NULL character a the end (CheckSum) VEE however doesn't like this In the archive I read something about NULL characters A solution is to convert the string in a UInt(8) My question is How to do that Please an example vr.gr Lambert vr.gr Lambert
