vrf VEE and 89600 SDF recordings

Question asked by halc on Nov 3, 2007
Yes, I found that out.  I saved the sdf's in the 89600 native recording format and not the export format.  I am not near the VSA nor have the original equipment that created the waveforms and thus cannot recreate the export files, which would help.  I found an sdf to ascii program from searching the agilent forums from 2002.  The converter did not work with the 89600 sdf recordings.  Hopefully there is an update.  Possibly I could rerun the recordings on the 89600 and then resave them as export files.  But it would be great if VEE had some way of looking at the native file formats.

Thanks.

I think the 89600 can save them in various formats when you save the
recording. Matlab, csv, etc.

Subject: [vrf] VEE and 89600 SDF recordings

I have several saved recordings from Agilent 89600 VSA software.  I would
like to be able to display those recordings (saved by the 89600 software as
SDF) in VEE and also use the information from the SDF files for further
processing.  I know that there is an SDF to ASCII (and other formats)
available.  Has anyone ever done this before?  Can VEE convert the SDF files
directly?  Thanks for any info you can provide.
