vrf Just Getting Started.

Question asked by VRFuser on Aug 6, 2007
Hello all,

I am new to the world of VEE and the lab I work for has HP VEE 5.0.  I have the manuals for the software, but I am having trouble picking up on the flow of the programs.  I seem to be trying to do things out of step.  I am trying to put something together that can automate the process of the Uniform Field measurement.  I am using an HP 8657A Signal Generator and an AR FM5004 Field Monitor.  I have to start at 80MHz and go to 1GHz in 1% steps.  And at each frequency I have to increase and decrease the field strength by 0.1dBm until I get it as close to 18 volts per meter as possible, then I record the amplitude of the Signal Generator.  If I could just get VEE to perform the task above and save to a spread sheet, my life would be a lot easier.
So with that said, I would greatly appreciate any help or direction you can give.
