vrf RST command on HP 4194A LCR meter

Question asked by VRFuser on Dec 19, 2007
This is an old HP 4194A LCR meter and is pre SCPI.  I am performing a RST command at the beginning of my program before I start the setup.  A fellow engineer says that the command will wipe out the shorts and open calibration I have performed on the instrument at an earlier time.  I have looked at the manual and it does not say it wipes it out, it says all data registers are preserved. I am enabling the use of these calibration factors in my setup code.  Can anybody give me a definitive answer?

Thanks.
