Hi Lulia:
I can freely edit the title of your 2nd object (HYPERLINK "mailto:new@722"new@722), but not the first one. When I tried to change the title of the 1st one, Vee acted just like it did to my codes.
But I got the trick: Only after I changed the Instrument Name (e.g. hp34401a, the part precedes the brackets), then Vee would accept the changes to the rest of the title -- don't know this is intentionally set by my Vee 7.0 or something is wrong.
Thanks a lot,
Alex

That's strange. On my PC it works - have a look at the attached.

This is what I did (many times). After I made the change and left the Properties, Vee went back to its original.
Thanks, Alex

Hi,
It's very simple : go to the Direct I/O object's Properties and there you can (and may) edit the title name. OK ?

Subject: [vrf] Edit Title of Direct I/O Object
Hi VRF:
Does anybody know how to edit the text title of the Direct I/O object? Sometimes the title name is too long, like DeviceName (DeviceName @ TCPIP Address), which makes the codes display quite awkward. I'd like to let the title tell more about the function of the object, like HYPERLINK "mailto:ResetFreq@718"ResetFreq@718 or HYPERLINK "mailto:PowerOn@Ethernet"PowerOn@Ethernet ... However, once I created the Direct I/O object in the Instrument Manager, the title name is set by Vee and I can't change it. Maybe I neglected something? I'm using Vee 7.0.
Thanks in advance,
Alex
