vrf Hi, I'm a new user. -- Problem with C-header file

Question asked by VRFuser on Nov 28, 2007
Hello Alex:

I had a similar problem a few months ago, VEE does not like the C, C++ style h files, the process of converting them is not straight forward the first time, but once you do it, is simple enough, depending on the version of VEE you have (prior to 8.0) is a little bit more problematic as prior to 8.0 VEE didnot accepted byte declarations...I suggest you either post your h file or go the vrf archive and search for previous postings...by the way your question repeats itself every two months or so in this list, so you should be able to find some answers in the archive.

Regards

Gonzalo

Subject: [vrf] Hi, I'm a new user. --> Problem with C-header file

Hello everybody!

I want to import a .dll into VEE. The .dll and .h files came with the driver of a video capture card.
The .h file is written in C (I suppose).
I tried to use the 'improt library'-object.
'Load Lib' reports some errors in the .h file.

1. VEE cannot understand the declaration of a function, when the function is written in more than one line.

2. There is a number of lines of the form:

_MVAPI (int) mvGetBoardInfo (int boardno, INFO_T* pinfo);

VEE cannot interpret this kind of syntax (and I can't eigther).
The author of the .h file has commented this section with
/* resident functions */.

Can you help me?

Regards,

Alex
