6611 Power Supply current in Sense Lines

I am using the 6611 Power supply to power a Device Under Test (DUT).  I am measuring the current drawn by the DUT by inserting a DMM in the Force lines when the power supply is set to remote sense.  The problem is that I am finding inaccuracy in the current measurements as there seems to be current flowing in the sense lines.  The current in the sense lines seems to be proportional to the current drawn by the DUT.  Is this correct, how can I accurately measure the current my DUT is drawing and still use remote sense?

Why do I see current flowing in the sense lines, I was expecting a high impedance input (hence no current) and then the current in the force leads equals the current drawn by the DUT.

thanks for your help.
