I've loaded several arbitrary waveforms into my Model 33522A, where they're stored in the folder 332XX_ARBS. How can I delete one or more of these waveforms using only the front-panel controls? Many thanks.
To delete arb files you need to press the SYSTEM button, then press the system setup softkey, then the manage files softkey. This will take you into the file manager, the default action is COPY, you need to press the far left softkey and change this to delete. Then press the browse softkey and select the file you wish to delete. After you select the file make sure you press Perform Delete soft key before pressing done.
Many thanks -- your instructions worked like a charm. Perhaps I'm not alone in overlooking the terse "Manage Files" description in the manual (p. 172) without the occasional reference to it in other sections, for example advising the reader to "see the Manage Files topic for deleting or renaming your arbitrary-waveform files" at the appropriate point in the arbitrary-waveform section.
I'm glad it worked for you. I agree there are some aspects of the user interface that are clumsy/not obvious. The file system is definitely one of them. We are always looking to improve usability so all feedback and questions are always welcome. Thanks for the feedback.
