I have connected the signal source to Channel 1. 1 Vrms output/input. Uniform window. Looking at Spectrum Channel 1. That's it.

I have a question about the spectrum amplitude I see using Single Frequency versus Periodic Chip source.

With Periodic Chirp, the amplitude is -26 dBrms = (10 log [1/400]), where the 400 comes from the bins in the analyzer

With Single Frequency, I get 0 dBrms.

Why the difference?

I don't understand how my post ended up in Power Supplies. The HP35660A is a network analyzer (not RF).
