I have several files loaded in the N5162A signal generator and want to add markers at the start and end of each waveform. I cannot seem to find a reference in the documentation that allows me to read the file size so I can place the marker at the end of the file. Any idea how I could read a file size to determine where to place the last marker?
The MXG will display the length of all waveforms in volatile memory in the Marker Utilities screen.
Key sequence: Mode->Dual ARB->More (2 of 2)->Marker Utilities->Set Markers
Then you can set Marker 1 on the first point, and Marker 2 on the last point. To set to the last point, you select Set Marker on Range of Points, then enter the same value for the First Point and Last Point to number of points of the file. When you set the marker, it is automatically saved to the waveform file in the volatile memory. To permanently save the file with the new marker settings, store the waveform in nonvolatile memory.
Key sequence: Mode->Dual ARB->Select Waveform->Waveform Segments->Store->Store Segment to Internal Memory
