Hi all
I bought 34972A LXI Data Acquisition
instrument to measure strain gages through 2-wire.

I've couple of questions while I'm trying to work with it.

I'm confused because the user manual stated that

Although the instrument does not directly support strain measurements, you can measure a strain gage using a 4-wire resistance measurement with scaling. However, BenchLink Data Logger 3 software has built-in strain gage measurement capability.

Do I need an amplifier?

Also, I can't get the data stored in USB from the front panel.

Kindly, can you explain how can I retrieve the data.

the project I've to prepare is involving monitoring  17 of 2-wire strain gages for about a week where the reading may be taken each 10 minutes. So I need to work with USB from the front panel, autologging the data to the USB, then transfer it to the computer.
It is strongly needed to get tutorial or administration on knowing how to get the best of the data acquization.
Kindly, can you address me on how the administration or  tutorial can be achieved.
