Doug,
What I do in 7.52, is to have a label at the top of the panel with an data input pin on it, and in the properties of the Function I turn OFF the Title Display on the panel. Then I can either send a variable to the Label, or hard wire it. the beauty of using the variable is of course, you can use an On Cycle object to get the variable, and resend it to the label, or only send it to the label if it is not the same as the previous using a shift register.
It also gives you a few more formatting options, like centreing the text, 3D Label etc.
That way the one function can be use for numerous uses.
Cheers,
Gary

Subject: [vrf] User Function properties...
Greetings all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to set the properties of a user function programmatically? I’d especially like to be able to change the pop up title based on which test is running. I suppose I could have 2 versions of the function with the pop up titles hard coded and just call the one I want, but I was hoping for something a little more elegant that wouldn’t require maintaining both functions.
Thanks in advance,
Doug
