Hi Dianbo,
It sounds like you’re trying to talk to a Watlow F4 controller. If that’s the case, there are several vrfers that control this beast with VEE. There are several very good example programs out there (not from Agilent). I have at least 2 that work quite well. When I get to work in the morning, I’ll post at least one, I don’t have access to them here at home.
Cheers,
Doug

Subject: [vrf] RS-232 interface Modbus RTU protocal
Hi, experts:
I am trying to used VEE to communicate a Temp Chamber which only has a RS-232C interface and use Modbus RTU protocol.
Could I use the Direct I/O in Instrument Manager to configure the serial port directly? I tried it and didn’t work. What could I do to make it work in VEE?
Thanks
Dianbo
