vrf Reconnect to Telnet

Question asked by VRFuser on Aug 17, 2007
Hi

I am not using the To/From Socket function.  I tried using this and had no success in getting it working at all.  Even the FAE from Agilient couldn’t get it working.  How are you using it?

Thanks

jon

What method are you using to connect to the instrument? I found it quite easy to connect dynamically using the To/From Socket object. Maybe it would be good if you show some example code.

Subject: [vrf] Reconnect to Telnet

Hello

I am currently using HpVee to talk to a DUT via Telnet.  Everything works fine until I send a reset command to the DUT.  At this point all the sockets are temporarily closed/reset on the DUT.  From this point on HpVee is unable to talk to the DUT as the connection has been lost.

Does anyone know if any method to reconnect to the equipment while in the middle of a programme

The problem seem to lie in the fact that the connection to the equipment is set up in the low level HpVee initialisation when the code is first run, and I don’t believe we have access to these commands/functions

Regards

Jon
