I have to disagree here-- user data should NEVER be placed
in a application installation directory. $HOME is for
_user_ data and should not point to C:Program FilesAgilentVEE Pro 7.0
VEE doesn't use $HOME to look for ID's anyhow- it looks
in the application install directory.

If this is the same problem you had in November I'm afraid I can't really
think of any cause except maybe one: is there a HOME environment variable
defined? If there is it might be messing runtime up. Er, that actually
sounds kinda weak!
