vrf display setting

Hi Bill,

The preferred way of doing this, implemented in VEE 6.0, is to use the programmable properties found under Function and Object Browser>Instruments.  Choose your interface and the instrument you want, and you have a list of properties including address.  Up until VEE 7.5 you could still add the pin - I guess they finally did away with it in VEE 8.

Hope that helps you.

Subject: [vrf] Address pin on direct I/O in VEE 8.0

All,

How come I can't add an address input pin to a direct I/O box in VEE 8.0? That blows my programming style completely out of the water.

Is there another way to programmatically control the address of a GPIB instrument?

(Before someone tells me to check the Enable Pre 8.0 Legacy I/O box, yes I know about that. I'm asking about working strictly with the limits of VEE 8.0.)

Thanks,
Bill
