AW: vrf Printing PDFs

Question asked by VRFuser on Aug 1, 2007
You may choose the destiller directly as your system printer within your VEE program, then a screenprint is converted automatically to a pdf.
Printing from your VEE program is limited to the system printer which is used when starting your vee program. There is no chance to change this printer  within your vee session beside the fact that you may use other programs like a second VEE session or Excel.
Therefore, if you want to print a screen on your printer, and additionnally you want a pdf file in parallel , you may use the maxxarchive. Search for gotomaxx.com , there was a free version available which did this job. Perhaps it is now no longer without costs.

If you do have a bunch of screenshots, and you want to convert this to pdf, you may again use the Acrobat destiller.
For sure there are other PDF- converter available for free, very often based on Ghostscript.

Best regards,
detlef

Betreff: [vrf] Printing PDFs

Hello all

My program is doing "print screens". No I am looking for to get PDF Documents printed or get PDF Files from my VEE screen. I have a lot of those screen prints, so I am interested doing it by program.

I am using VEE 5 and Win2k on my PC. Maybe there is a newer VEE which can do it?
Since yet I worked only with Acrobat Reader. I have no experience with creating PDFs. Are there alternative Programs doing this than Acrobat?

Thanks in advance

Bernd
