Geez Kathy,
When I saw that you had responded I figured you were going to point him to Steve Mackins article in Evaluation Engineering. For anyone who cares this was a great article comparing the two graphical programming tools. Agilent has even archived it on their web-site. Here's a link

Everyone have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Doug

I had a meeting with an Agilent FAE a couple weeks ago and he seemed surprised that we used VEE for serious production and not a 'real language'. He thought VEE was good for quick little lab projects and that's about it.  I've seen this attitude from Agilent sales for years.  I also recall seeing ads years back that VEE doesn't even require any real programming  -- just connect the boxes.

I don't plan on changing to LabView any time soon but I find this frustrating and disappointing.

One should note that it would be pretty simple to control
Lego robotics from VEE- one just needs to write the library
of pretty simple functions. Looked at the control language once for Lego
and it is indeed quite simple.
