vrf VEE with Nat'l VISA

Question asked by VRFuser on Feb 9, 2006
I went through the Agilent site and through a couple of the old driver
disks.  It looks like it was never released, although I know it was written.

All is not lost, however.  Many of the plug&play (I'd actually say most)
drivers have a generic pass through capability that will send command
strings with various parameter forms.  To use this, you must do something
special.  That is, load the driver and then go to
properties/advanced/plug&play.  In there you will find a pair of check boxes
for instrument id and reset.  Uncheck both of these boxes.  This will cause
the driver to initialize without sending the *IDN? And *RST commands.
Choose ASRL<n> for the interface and you should be ready to go.
