vrf New VEE problem regarding the printer port and hardware

Question asked by VRFuser on Apr 8, 2005
Hello from Gregg C Levine
Most of you by now are aware of my talents regarding computer hardware,
essentially that's where my strengths are. Exceptions are the USB port.

However with regards to VEE, that's where I need advice, rather then help.

I have a 2x16 LCD display here, it might have been used for the message box
of a laser printer. Can the PeekePoke DLL that we've been discussing, on and
off, send stuff to it? For wiring the display to a connector for the port to
send stuff to it, I've found about four different schematics, each depending
on the display variant. Here's a hoot, someone came up with the idea of
having the display show system status for a Linux box. For what I've got in
mind, I want to have a goo at sending streams of stuff to it, via a VEE
program.

Shawn should you want to discuss this idea, please feel free to do so,
however, let's keep it off list.
