Subject: AW: [vrf] ID3 TAG's from mp3 file ???
Hello Alexander,
The way in principle to do is:
Read the mp3 file, look for the last 128 Bytes, and sort them in the right way
But there is a difference between ID3V1 and ID3V2...
There are some VB sample i did find so perhaps you may adapt them to VEE via .net.
If you look for the words : MP3 , Tag, Dotnet in google you will find the code for sure.
Via dotnet i did not find any direct help for this, as i wished it should !
( If i remember correctly, the extra menue in the explorer under XP do show MP3 tags )
Have a look at the MS website and search for same strings...
Some useful links- german , sorry

Betreff: [vrf] ID3 TAG's from mp3 file ???
Hi VRF
I'm trying to read/edit ID3 TAG information from an mp3 file. I figured there must be a way to do this via .NET, but I can not find it anywhere. Has anyone else done this with VEE/.NET? Does anyone knows how to do this?
I have also looked in the WindowsMediaPlayer ActiveX control but could not figure out what to do.
Any help is appreciated.
/Alex
