vrf Runtime Environment

Hi Brian,

Try:

www.agilent.com/find/adn to find VEE Runtime

With regards to v7/v5 execution mode: you can change the default
preferences of VEE Runtime to run in v3-v7 exec modes.  However, I would
guess that this would apply to all vxe's (so you may need to think about
how you manage the automated setting of this).  An alternative could be
to have v5 and v7 runtime installed and use file associations (e.g. .vx5
and .vx7) as to which runtime to use.  This may well be the better
approach, as I suspect v7 runtime default preferences are user specific.
Another thing to watch for - v5, by default, used a single vee.io file
for the IO configuration whereas v7 can have the IO config embedded in
the vxe or, use a user specific default IO.  Having said that, there are
switches that you can use to get VEE to use a specific IO config file
(see the help file).

Hope this helps,

Andy

Subject: [vrf] Runtime Environment

Hi VRF,
Quick question about the runtime environment. If I install that
on a bunch of client machines that used to have v5 installed, can I
still run those v5 programs in Execution Mode for version 5? I want to
be assured they will run the same with no changes. Also, does someone
have a link to where I can download the runtime environment? I am having
trouble finding it on the website. Thanks!!
