Call dll in BT-Basic

In 8.2 you can call .dll functions, if you own a function card. Why is this not posible without a function card?. This could be usefull i.e. for printing labels using 3rd party dll's.

Hi Andrew, 0830 release is planned within the next few weeks, it is currently being beta tested for quality.
it will support windows XP >SP3, and windows& 32 and 64 bit.
for customers on windows XP, there will be an update of the related Agilent/3rd party software, like bootp, IO libs, XVision etc..

Please leave us your contact information, i will send you the "BT-Basic External DLL Integration Specification" for wrapper DLL development.
The External DLL call feature will be enabled in 08.30p software, and it doesn't require a function card.
