vrf Touchstone Format

Also, please remember that in order to get a valid S2P file from the 8753 or 8720 a full 2 port cal must be active.  Also the file names do not always read .S2P, they may read .s1 or .s2, where the number relates to the channel that the data was saved. 

Also, are you using the complex data container for storage in VEE (the parentheses around the values you export tend to say that you are)?  If so try deconstructing the complex into the real/imaginary terms this way you can have more control over how the data is laid out in your text file and it will remove the parentheses.

What's your Analyzer.  Since you say "form3" I'll asume it's an 8720 or 8753.  You cand dump data to a disc in S2P format may hitting:

[save/recall]{define disk save}{data only on}{save using ascii}.

Then hit save state.

Or, if you hit the save file formats, then save file, the data will be saved as comma separated data (CSV).

Guys,
     If I recall a register where everything is set up (startf, stopf, points, etc...), is there a quick and easy way to export the analyzer data in Touchstone format to say a text file? I know I can use "form3" and get my real/imag. pairs and send them to the text file. However, I then have to do some text processing to get my format to look correct. For example, this is what I have in the text file now:

Freq     S11 real / imag         S21 real / imag          S12 real / imag
S22 real / imag

     I need those values to look like this:

-4.978478E-005 2.748333E-005 4.950256E-001 -7.160645E-001     
840200000 -5.268250E-001 -6.864624E-001 6.775372E-006 -2.275314E-005
-1.864508E-005 3.141165E-005 4.748230E-001 -7.301941E-001     

     I have used VBA to process the text file. However, I was wondering if there is a quicker and more direct way to do this. Thanks.
