yes I implemented some small error handling in most of my instrument IOs.
Usually I put the directIO command with an added error output pin in a loop.
If an error occurs, the error and the name of the instrument is displayed in
a dialog box, where you have the possibility to select a retry button. This
button restarts the loop (and the direct IO command) with the NEXT command.
If the directIO command runs with no error, the loop is directly exited with
a stop command.
