vrf bits(str) function

Just got a MOXA Lan to serial box. It can do RS232,RS485,RS422 from one
unit! DE211 running under Win2000. Nice little box for under 150,
configurable serial coms anywhere on your LAN. It has a software driver to
create a virtual COM port on your PC, so send something to COM:8 and it
appears on the D type on the Moxa box somewhere else. So far great running
under 2K when you set the Agilent IO config for the vertual com port no
problem, but has anybody tried to set up virtual com ports in IO config
under 98 I get the error message that IO config has configured both COM1 &
Com2 so there are no more ports to config? (Its there and working from
windows)
Any thoughts great fully received.

I use the B&B Electronics 3PCISD4A card.  It fabulous: it's a 4 port card,
with each port individually configurable to RS232, RS422, or RS485, and it
just looks like 4 extra comm ports on your PC.  It's also quite fast,
supporting 460.8 kbps.  Check it out...

I plan on installing a serial RS-485 card in a PCI slot of PC and was
wondering if someone can recommend a card they might have used.  Looking for
one that I/O Config will detect with no problems and works using direct I/O
function of VEE.
