vrf ACL don't exist in UNIX ?

Question asked by VRFuser on Aug 20, 2002
Stan,

ACL's do exist in some flavours of UNIX. In solaris I think this feature was implemented in 2.7 or 2.8.

The equivalent in DOS is the ATTRIB command.

ACL's don't exist in unix so there's not direct comparison with "777"
but it will be pretty close.

ATTRIB [+R | -R] [+A | -A ] [+S | -S] [+H | -H] [[drive:] [path] filename]
       [/S [/D]]

  +   Sets an attribute.
  -   Clears an attribute.
  R   Read-only file attribute.
  A   Archive file attribute.
  S   System file attribute.
  H   Hidden file attribute.
/S  Processes matching files in the current folder
      and all subfolders.
  /D  Processes folders as well.
