vrf Fw: DES

I also thought you might get something on this, but failing that:

Not me, but if you're running on Windows the CryptoAPI can provide access to
any CSP (Cryptographic Service Provider) designed for it - one of which I'm
sure would provide DES functionality. In fact, I looked into this briefly
not long ago and I am pretty sure one of the standard providers supplied
with Windows does ANSI DEA but I can't find the reference right now.

The CryptoAPI is pretty complex and would be difficult to manipulate with
pure VEE so an ActiveX interface would be advisable. Be aware that this
poses a security risk so depending on your application ActiveX may or may
not be a solution.
