To All the high speed capture >500 samples per second is now working
Many Thanks to all that replied Les and Christian
I had a reply from delmar_fryd
AUTOZERO OFF
AUTORANGE OFF (i.e. fixed range to whatever you need)
Aperture 0.02 PLC
MATH Functions OFF
Resolution could be 0.5mV if you use the 10V range (i.e. not too many
digits)
TRIG:COUN 500 (and no trigger delay)
READ? (REAL ARRAY 1D, 500)
this works a treat
Many Thanks Mike

Yes. Turning Autozero off will increase the speed of measurement.
Also, set the meter for auto range off and minimum resolution.
Instead of getting one reading at a time, get an array of readings.
Get the array in binary format instead of ASCII.

over the IEEE bus.
I am trying to sample a 30 Hz waveform looking at the floating DC component
I cant seem to get it going faster than 100 samples per sec using display
off no delay etc.
Question.
1. has anybody read at high speed
2.I have tried to configure the system to take multiple samples
SAMPle:COUNt {<value>|MINimum|MAXimum}
Set the number of readings (samples) the multimeter takes per trigger.
Select
from 1 to 50,000 readings per trigger. MIN = 1. MAX = 50,000. [Stored in
volatile memory]
4
The manual states it can only take 512 readings, but I cant get it to take a
sampled readings.
Anybody have some code examples for this??
I have already spent too long on this!!!
Thanks Mike
