vrf AW: AW: Reading Excel range into VEE

Question asked by detlef.baranski on May 8, 2003
Hi Warren,
maybe i mixed some things i my brain- getting older you know - with all
these new Object stuff.
The trick in Excel is to switch all work on the screen off so that you have
no screen refreshes anymore- this speeds Excel really...
try that:

Application.ScreenUpdating = False

Sorry that i am not 100 % sure- did not have access to my books currently.

Otherwise have a look to some Excel forums...
Trick to speed Excel Macros ....

Best regards,

Tried that.  I would have thought it would speed things up, but it didn't
seem to make any difference in this case.  Thanks anyway.

Excel gets damned slow in visible mode.
Just switch the visible mode off and after use of your routine on again.

ExcelApp.Visible = TRUE; Its slow ;-(

ExcelApp.Visible = FALSE; It gets fast
