Thanks Mike,
I will have to look at the downloaded .vee examples from Amplicon. But i suspect I will needa 'C' routine because I basically need to log the encoder for several seconds and measure the number of 1Mhz clock puses between 'lines' of the encoder, storing each successive count into RAM. the data file can then be analysed using Vee looking for abnormalities in the results and issuing a Word document test report. I can do the Vee bit easily, it is the C routine I may have some trouble with. i was hoping someone may ahve ahd some C code for taht card taht i could try to modify, to 'jump start, my project.
Thanks for taht info on ActiveX you just posted. i am sure I have had similar experiences with customers PC's.
Best regards and tahnks again,
Ashley

Hi,
I have a few Amplicon PC30AT ISA cards and I wish to use them in a test rig to continuosly count the number of clock puses between successive pulses of an encoder at the maximum onboard clock frequency of 1Mhz and store the readings in memory in real time, so that I can examine the data in spreadsheet format by loading the data into excel, after the test has run. Does anyone have experience of using this card for an appliaction like this. the card uses an 8253 counter IC.
I have the latest Vee applications for the card but I suspect the counting of the 1mHz pulses will require a 'C' routine.
Regards,
Ashley
