vrf Data entry form question

Question asked by bwalden on Oct 16, 2001
Hi folks,

I have a data entry form used to allow a program user to enter constant
values.  Some of these are single characters or one digit numbers.  The
form has Text and UInt8 Constant data entry objects set for "wait for
input".  Normally this works perfectly but if you decrease the width of
these objects to something suitable for one or two characters, the user
does not see what he or she has entered until return is pressed.  It
doesn't matter how many characters they enter, nothing shows up in the
window until they press return.  Needless to say, this is not expected
behavior and it makes using this method for entering short data items
borderline useless.  Can anyone suggest a better method?
