vrf Timer not working

Question asked by VRFuser on Feb 20, 2002

My first guess would be that the timer does not actually get started when you think it does. Try switching on 'show execution flow' and 'show data flow' and see the order in which the various objects activate.

To make sure the timer starts exactly when you want it put a 'DO' object just before the object you want to measure and use that to fire the timer.

Hope this helps

I wanted to time a critical event and used the timer function.  I comes back
with random times that don't seem to relate to the actual length of event.
I've now used now() at the start and end of the event and they behave
sensibly.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong with the timer?
