I was told that if you have VEE Pro installed, that you could not have the
runtime version installed on the same PC. This came from Agilent's
customer support.

Question:
Why does VEERUN report Error 729 -- File Format Error when I run the VXE
on my target platform?
Answer:
Scenario: I''ve made a compiled run-time executable (VXE) from one of my HP
VEE programs. The common cause of error 729 is an undefined reference to an
instrument id on the target systems VEE.IO file. There are two methods to
correct this behavior. The first method is to distribute the VEE.IO file
from the developer system along with the VXE. VEERUN can then be started so
it will use this VEE.IO file. The second method is to start VEERUN with the
-ioconfig switch. This switch will start VEERUN and display the INSTRUMENT
MANAGER to the user. The user can then make an entry for the appropriate
instruments.

I m trying to create a VXE from my VEE program. The VXE is created but when
I launch it comes up with a red framed box and says
"File format c:my documentsvee programs407470.vxe is invalid"
ERROR number 729
I cannot find any help on this error type.
