vrf Sadly Missed

Question asked by VRFuser on Dec 13, 2001
This is absolutely my last post off subject.

I have found the vrf to be an extremely useful resource over the last two
years or so and respect and appreciate the contributions of all members -
including Agilent employees.  The contributions of everyone help idiots like
me understand the best ways of doing things with Vee and how to work around
some of its limitations and bugs.

In my defence I would like to point out, however, that the only
misunderstanding I made was that Scott Bayes was a Vee Technical Support
person whose job it was to support Vee customers.  As such I emailed him a
question/bug report.   I didn't realise that Scott was monitoring the vrf
voluntarily and was not available to answer customer questions directly.

I do apologise for this misunderstanding. It was certainly not my intention
to force Scott to leave the list and I hope he reconsiders his position on
this.

Nick

On behalf of many VEE users who received great value from Scott Bayes'
spirit of selfless assistance, I would like to say you will be missed.

You were a valuable resource to many and have helped the 'real-world' in
ways your manager will never really know.

I hope that future misunderstandings by Mr.. Nick Evans don't force good
resources to go away.  We can all contribute to this collective, including
you, Nick.  And it's all voluntary....as it always has been.

Best regards,
Phil
