maybe the answer is very easy, but I could not find it up to now ...
I have multiple direct IO commands in my HPVEE programm. To be flexible I
have added the control inputs with instrument name and instrument address to
the IO commands.
But now I do have two variables, that have to match.
I would like to bring this down to one variable. Means, I'm assuming, that
my GPIB address of an istrument is fixed. Now I would like to read somehow
the corresponding
name from the instrument manager which I can use for the direct IO command
as control input.
Therefore even after deleting the instrument, and finding an istrument
called "newInstrument" by a "search instruments" the programm would work
fine, as long the corresponding GPIB address of the instrument does not
change.
Is there any chance to find this kind of information, or is there even a
better way to get instrument type, name and GPIB address ?
thanks
