vrf 8753 Trace data upload

Joel,
That's exactly what we are doing....a Full 2-Port Cal & Our VEE program
then downloads the 4 S-Parameters and searches through these arrays to get
measurement data to display/save.
If I understand you correctly when I save "corrected" data to the controller
and then turn around and reload this back into the Analyzer it would then
need to have it's calibration arrays set to unity to not have 2 corrections
applied to it?
What if a person were to download "raw" data from an existing 2 port fully
corrected instrument state, save this data, recall the instrument state it
was taken from, and reload it with the INPURAW1-4 commands when needed?
Would this also have 2 corrections applied to it?

     Tom's code is just the right way to input data, but if you are
trying to mimic a measurement, and your
analyzer has more than 1 data array (such as having 2-port cal on), you want
to use the INPURAW1, INPURAW2, INPURAW3, INPURAW4 commands, to put in the
S11, S21, S12, S22 data.  Also, you must have 2-port cal on for raw2-raw4 to
exist.  You can "fake" a 2-port cal by downloading arrays of 1's into the
tracking terms and zero's into the directivity, match and isolation terms.
I think I have a VEE block that creates and downloads a unity (1's and
zeros) cal into the NA.  Save this state, than put the VNA in hold, then
download the S-parameters.  Note: you can't use an regular cal as the data
you load is like arready "correct" and you don't want to apply additional
correction to it.

Here is another example. The notes in the Vee program indicates an S21, when
the response is definitely a S11 or and S22. Regardless the concepts are the
same.

Check out the 8753 Plug and Play driver.  It has a function to upload trace
data.  I think that driver ships with source code, if you want an example
but don't want to use the driver.  You can get the drivers from...
